She was one of seven jurors representing France, alongside Benjamin Kern, Clément Julia, François Troller, Thomas Isle, Delphine Malem and Valérie Zipper. The contest ran from 12 to 16 May in Vienna.
What a national jury does
Each participating country fields a jury of music professionals whose votes are combined with the public televote to produce that country's result. Juries are appointed by the national broadcaster, and membership is an appointment rather than an application.
It puts Myla among the people France sends to judge the largest music competition in the world — a different kind of recognition from a chart position or a certification, and one that comes from inside the industry rather than from an audience.
The year around it
The appointment falls in a period when her work has been travelling well beyond France. She has been featured twice in SNEP's Export Success Stories, and Billboard France and Elle rank her the 7th most-streamed French female artist in the United States.
Myla is signed to Parlophone France and is WLTD Entertainment's first signing.
